January 11, 2009 Sunday New Six

I grabbed my other camera today and took some bird pictures--through the dirty windows (we heat with wood and it leaves a film of smoke on everything). It was cold outside and the feeders had a lot of activity.

Carolina Wren
Pine Warbler
Carolina Chickadee
Downy Woodpecker
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Northern Cardinal (female)

    I always find carolina wrens comical looking. The proportions just look all wrong to me. I'm envious, as my condo association doesn't allow feeders. :-(

    Nice shots (but you need to clean (or open!) the windows). :-)
